I have started a couple different blogs...and never stick with it. My hopes with this blog is to have an organized place to think through new ideas for next year! Yes, I realize there are still 2 months of school left, but I see some definite places that need improvement!!
Goals for Next Year:
Math: Get through more chapters then this year!! We changed books in the middle of the second quarter and have yet been able to catch up.
English: TEACH WRITING!! I would love to work in a writing class seperate from our grammar class...maybe half and half??
Literature: Have units ready for all novels taught next year. I am just finishing up a Literature Unit for The Wednesday Wars and have really enjoyed the process.
Social Studies: Put some life in the class! We started using Interactive Notebooks at the beginning of 2nd semester, but I'm not quite where I want to be with them yet.
Science: Get through more science! Unfortunately, I find myself skimping on Science to get the core subjects done :(
Handwriting: NO MORE HANDWRITING!!
